I have not seem the M30, but I do have a Konus, and I like it a lot.
As a comparison, I have or have had Tasco, Simmons, Bushnell, Nikon, Luepold, Swift and Konus. In the price range, I am convinced it is the best quality for the price, as the quality of glass is concerned. I am not sure if the internals are high quality or not. I have not taken one apart to look, but I have not had any problems with the one I have.
I have seen one in the store that had a problrm with the glass. I took it from a 60 degree A/C store, out to the parking lot on a high humidity 90 degree+ day. It did fog over, internally, but cleared VERY fast - BUT while it was fogged/clearing there was just enough time to see a scuff on the glass, almost dead center on the front glass. You could not see it in the FOV but it was a concern, and the worst part was that we found it was on the inside of the glass not the outside.
My son also has one, and no complaints/problems. Holds zero, returns to zero, and does well on the box test. Now that they are a few years old, and the subject has come up, I might go out to see if they still box test well after 3 - 4 years of use.
For those that have the M30, or other tactical model, does it have horzontal lines (or other method) for keeping track of rotations, and have they come out with 1/4 MOA yet? I can't find one, but didn't look real long.
looking forward to the test results.....i just received my M30, mounted it and shot 4 rounds (kind of last minute, only had 4 rounds) yesterday...out of the box, it was about 2" high at 100 yards, within 4 rounds i was within beer can MOA....so far so good.

I stumbled upon this forum while researching the Konus scopes.
Has anyone compared, or care to offer opinion on, the difference between the KonusPro line and the M30 line of Konus scopes? I've been eyeing a KonusPro 7259 6-24x44 for about $115 shipped. How would that scope compare to the Konus M30 7281 6.5-25x44 for about $310 shipped?
The obvious differences aside (illum. & side focus), is the M30 worth the extra $200?
I have a new Konus M30 8.5-32x 52mm scope. I can't see this "bubble" anywhere. Where is it supposed to appear in the scope? Top? Bottom? Middle?
I used the Wheeler Level, Level, Level system to align my scope with the rifle so I feel good about that. Still, the Konus instruction just mention it's there for use. Again, I can't see it.

Help?
It's at the bottom and it's really hard to see. Turning on the illumination helps a little. Mine's not level so i don't even use it. It's great in theory but isn't executed very well IMO. I still like the scope for the money though. _________________ As you journey through life take a minute every now and then to give a thought for the other fellow. He could be plotting something.

Thanks so much, I found it thanks to you. Yes, it is hard to see. I'll take my level to the NRA range tomorrow to make sure my sighting target is squared up and see where mine stands.
I leveled the scope using the Wheeler Level, Level, Level system. I hope that puts me very close.
It is a fantastic idea and could be of great benefit I think it everything lined up. If it's very, very close, it seems like one could try it. If it's a very, very minor cant with the bubble reading level every shot, it should help you shoot more consistently right? I mean without such a device, you're just eyeballing it.
