First time shooting my rifle at 1000 yards. Shot at National Guard site at Camp Butner NC. Scored a 172-2x in match 2.. Rifle did great! Last shot on target 22 was an X. Shot my own .308 175gn Sierra handloads out of my SPS Tactical (stock rifle with exception of a McMillan HTG stock, and bolt knob). Can't wait to get a lighter trigger installed!

Pretty hard to post this after seeing the shooting at 1000yds above Cool

Hit the range up Sunday for a bit, didn't do as much shooten as I wanted as it was getting busy and the wind came up. I made a bad call in using black targets as the reticle on the new scope is easy to loose with a black background. Shooten from the bench with bipod & sandbag @ 100 yards.

Shot two different rounds, the 1st was HSM 168gr HPBT Berger VLD...they worked good enough to site the scope in at 50 & then 100yds but wouldn't seem to group very well.

Switched to HSM 168gr HPBT Match and they worked better. My last group is shown below, 0.195" center - center. Earlier groups were in the sub 1 MOA range but seemed to get better as the day went on.

Need to get back out next weekend and put some of the 178gr A-Max's through it that it liked.
