Got back from MEPS a day ago and they cleared me, all healthy and clean. So as of right now, I will be shipping out to fort sill in mid january for basic and I'll stay there for AIT.
Going to be a MLRS fire direction specialist.
Sure it's not a sniper, but my weapon will have a bit more range. |

I had a buddy on MLRS' at Ft Sill from 2001 to 2006. Did a couple deployments when he was there. He loved it. _________________ Moose

Thanks guys! I'm looking forwards to it. Everyone I have talked to says the military is a good experience, even if you don't like it. Hopefully I do though, those MLRS trucks are pretty awesome.
Only a few months to go! |

Congrats - and remember if you really want to make an impression you should always strive to stand out from the rest.

I'll even volunteer to send him "care packages" while he is in basic. Anything to make the trip more memorable - I know I'll never forget the guys that got those special packages from home.
Mel - I thought this place was for helping our fellow man? I'm just trying to help a young man find his place...

Thanks guys.
Stand out. That completely went over my head when I first read it. However, now that I'm thinking about it and mel saying you are like a big brother (I'm a big brother, so I do it) I realize that standing out is probably not the best idea.
I'm sure it wouldn't take long after I got there for me to realize that though. |

You want to be a no body in basic... learn your :-) in AIT... but really learn your job once you get to your unit and that will make you stand out. Youll find out whos a piece of :-) and whos not then learn from both the good and the bad and what to... and not to do! _________________ Chris

My son sttod out in USMC boot camp, his Sr drill instructor called it "the beacon". He was always in "the beacon". It wasn't a good thing but I will say he was in good shape when he graduated. _________________ www.excorioprecisionarms.com
