BAC- I am from Florida myself... never even seen snow! Have gone to TN twice in the past 2 months. Farthest north I have ever been... and needless to say, applications and resumes have been sent and as SOON as I find a job, I will be heading there permanently. Men who like to hunt, shoot and the outdoors in general should not be bound to the flat lands of Florida. Hopefully I will have a generous plot of land. Wink

It's beautiful. What's that on your trigger?

Yeah, it is a beautiful spot. The thing on the trigger is a 'trigger shoe'. It's just a piece of polymer that slips over the trigger itself and is held in place by allen key set screw. The polymer is curved to complement your trigger finger, and is wider than the trigger itself. I think it's supposed to make trigger pull more consistent because the wider surface area reduces the tendency of the finger to 'pull' a shot and makes it easier to exert an even pressure directly backwards on the trigger. At least, that's what I'm told. There's a closer shot of it in the trigger pack on the left in the picture below...

Just about as far North as you can travel and still be in the CONUS...It's one of my father-in-law's potato fields in Maine, just North of Fort Kent.

North of Fort Kent!? How do you stay south of the St. John and not be shooting within town limits?

Upper Frenchville and Madawaska are technically North of Fort Kent (latitude/longitude-wise) even though you'd have to take Rt.1 South to get there...Wink

Ha that is funny! While snow does not usually slow down Montanans, when I went to the range last friday, it was 12 degrees out.... no one was at the range. Today the high is 7 with about 20 MPH winds... who knows what the wind chill is.... but I'm not shooting today.

I have the hardest time getting my retired army buddies out to the range. I have about a 10-12 week window at the end of summer/beginning of fall, and they ALL use the same excuse. "I spent (insert number here) years shooting guns while sweating or freezing my Very Happy off."

If it wasn't for work or needing money, I'd be shooting all the time!

It was cold, but it is a good 300-350 metres to the tree line, and I will be trying past the tree line on the hill another day, where there is a clear line of sight left of the pic very soon.

Great looking rifle. Is that a SR9TC or a actual PSG1?

Really like any rifle built on the G3 platform. Have a SAR-8 HB and a SAR-3

I'm really digging Stan's rig in the back ground. What kind of truck/jeep/utility vehicle is that?
