It has been a while since McMillan came out with a new A series stock, the last one being their most popular stock, the A5. They have just announced the introduction of their new A6 adjustable stock that features a few new changes and features.
On initial inspection the stock looks similar to the Manners stocks with the flat surfaces, but McMillan incorporated these surfaces to help with tripod mounting systems and to help stabilize the platform which firing over a barricade. The stock is available with the adjustable cheekpiece and the shown spacer system, of course with the normal addon cost. Click on the image below to see a larger closeup.
The stock is currently listed as being available for the Remington “style” actions, which includes the Remington footprint actions as well as Savage actions. The stock looks good and while not a revolutionary design, we like what we see so far and are anxious to try one out. Pricing seems to be right in line with all of the other A series stocks.
